Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Locum Tenens

About the Role

Provides full-time inpatient psychiatric care for adult patients, conducting evaluations and managing medications within a structured environment. Works day shifts, typically 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, on a 7 on/7 off schedule, with an average of 18 patients per day.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychiatric assessments and develop treatment plans
• Manage medication regimens for adult inpatients
• Collaborate with support staff, including one advanced practice provider
• Ensure continuity of care in a dedicated inpatient setting

Requirements

• Board certification required
• Prescriptive authority necessary
• Experience in inpatient psychiatric care preferred

Schedule

Full-time role with 40 hours per week. On-site position in an inpatient psychiatric facility with a 7 on/7 off schedule (day shifts, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM). Involves call responsibilities.
