Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Locum Tenens

About the Role

Seeking a certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) for an outpatient setting to provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for patients aged 13 and up. The position involves day shifts at an on-site facility, focusing on outpatient psychiatric conditions related to eating disorders.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychiatric evaluations and medication management
• Manage a variable caseload of outpatient patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, therapists, and administrative staff
• Maintain compliance with licensing and prescribing regulations, including active Kentucky licensure and prescriptive authority

Requirements

• Board certification required
• Active Kentucky nursing license and Medicaid enrollment
• CAPA-CS or Kentucky Board exemption for controlled substance prescribing
• Experience in outpatient psychiatric care, especially eating disorder settings, preferred

Schedule

Part-time, 8-hour shifts. No call responsibilities.

Work Environment

Support staff includes psychologists, therapists, and administrative personnel. Focus on outpatient psychiatric treatment for diverse patient ages in a structured environment.
