Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Locum Tenens

About the role

We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide inpatient behavioral health services in a facility with three units serving adults and adolescents aged 8-17. The NP will cover 36 beds (28 adult, 8 adolescent) with support from an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) and a psychiatrist.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient psychiatric care for adults and adolescents.
• Manage a caseload, including an average of 2 consults daily.
• Handle admission calls during day and night shifts.
• Participate in call coverage at a 1:3 ratio during daytime hours and 1:4 at night.
• Treat a variety of inpatient behavioral health conditions across different age groups.

Requirements

• Board certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• Full-time availability, with 20-22 on-site shifts per month.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with flexible patient stay durations. The role does not require prescriptive authority and is fully on-site.
