Psychiatric/DD Nurse Supervisor
About the role
At DBH Northwest Ohio Behavioral Healthcare, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Supervisor to provide leadership and oversight to nursing staff while ensuring high-quality patient care in a behavioral health hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide general and direct supervision of nursing staff, ensuring consistent adherence to standards of care.
- Conduct regular rounds in residential units and review nursing care plan documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Review & follow up on Incident Reports, Codes, Medication Error Reports, Falls, and reports related to Mechanical Support Devices or Seclusion/Restraint.
- Prepare and deliver clear written & verbal reports to Nurse Executives regarding clinical operations, staffing, and patient care issues.
- Serve as Administrator on Duty (AOD) for entire facility during after-hours shifts as needed, providing leadership and operational support.
Requirements
- Current license as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Revised Code.
- 24 months of experience in psychiatric nursing or delivery of nursing services to persons with developmental disabilities.
- 3 months of training or 3 months of experience in employee training & development.
- 3 courses or 9 months of experience in public relations.
- 3 courses or 9 months of experience in counseling.
- OR the equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience requirements, but not for the mandated licensure.

Pay
This is an hourly position exempt from the bargaining units, with a pay range of 15 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule. The selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
Schedule
Normal working hours are 6:00 PM–6:30 AM.
