PS Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology, Stansbury Community Clinic
About the role
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work on their team with an emphasis in general cardiology. The position is an outpatient clinic-focused role, primarily based out of their Stansbury community clinic.
Responsibilities
- Affords assessments of the physical condition of a group of patients by performing physical examinations and obtaining medical histories.
- Formulates the medical plan and prognosis based on the patient’s condition.
- Collaborates with health care teams regarding patient care plans and treatment.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess the patient’s clinical problems and health care needs.
- Initiates and/or recommends medical drug therapies or other forms of related therapeutic treatment and procedures in accordance with approved protocols/policy.
- Complies with medical records policies regarding the complete and accurate documentation of patient care.
- Initiates and maintains required records and legal documents.
- Participates in quality improvement activities.
- Counsels patients, families and significant others about health and illness, and promotes health maintenance.
- Evaluates, plans, implements, and re-evaluates the care of individuals requiring emergency measures.
Requirements
- Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Utah.
