PS Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology, Stansbury Community Clinic

Job Summary

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner to join their outpatient clinic-based team, focusing on general cardiology. The role is based at the Stansbury community clinic and involves both independent work and collaboration with physician partners and other advanced practice clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Affords physical assessments and medical histories to groups of patients.
• Formulates medical plans and prognoses based on patient conditions.
• Collaborates with healthcare teams on patient care plans and treatments.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and address patient health issues.
• Initiates or recommends medical drug therapies and other treatments in line with approved protocols.
• Maintains compliance with medical record policies for accurate documentation of patient care.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives.
• Counsels patients, families, and significant others on health and illness, promoting health maintenance.
• Evaluates, plans, implements, and re-evaluates patient care.

Required

• Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Utah.

Preferred

• ACLS/BLS/NRP/ATLS certification.
• Utah State prescriptive privileges.

Qualifications

• Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Utah.
• Master's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.

Preferences

• Specialty certifications such as ACLS/BLS/NRP/ATLS.
• Prescriptive privileges from Utah State.
