Provisioning Support Specialist

About the role

The USW Combat Systems Department (Code 25), Deployed Systems Branch (Code 2514) supports the Navy’s premier undersea combat system. As a BYG-1 Provisioning Support Specialist, you will directly contribute to fleet readiness by ensuring systems have the right parts, documentation, and support at the right time.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Supply Support Lead to drive key provisioning workflows and process improvements.
• Review technical documentation for accuracy and compliance, strengthening deliverable quality across teams.
• Evaluate Provisioning Contract Control Numbers (PCCNs), provide actionable feedback, and guide Source Providers toward successful delivery.
• Investigate issues within Allowance Parts Lists (APLs) and develop solutions supporting internal teams and external integrators.
• Generate PCCNs and Design Change Notices (DCNs) that influence system baselines.
• Ensure updates are fully incorporated into published APLs to maintain alignment across platforms.
• Share configuration data, drawings, and reports through centralized repositories to support Navy Supply (NAVSUP) collaboration.
• Validate Lowest Replaceable Unit (LRU) reports for accuracy and consistency with system changes.
• Maintain and refine the master provisioning tracker to help teams anticipate needs and stay ahead of schedules.
• Represent provisioning efforts in meetings, delivering clear and confident status updates.
• Work directly with Source Providers, NAVSUP, and DLA to ensure timely inputs and consistent baseline changes.

Requirements

• Hands-on familiarity with Navy provisioning processes, NAVSUP workflows, parts technical data, or ICAPS.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).li>
• Legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and throughout employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred).
• Experience supporting AN/BYG combat control systems (preferred).

Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office environment, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. The position may require standing, walking, and handling materials, with the ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Travel

Ability to travel within the continental United States (CONUS) and potentially outside (OCONUS). Travel up to 10% may be required.
