Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant), Allergy
Patient Care
- Complete all assigned patient visit preparation and clarifications accurately and timely according to the prep schedule
- Maintain a strong understanding of all appointment types scheduled
- Demonstrate accurate preparation of charts
- Maintain a physical presence in the clinic during clinic hours
- Be available to serve as backup in emergency situations
- Manage and stabilize grade 1, 2, 3 reactions
- Answer, triage and escalate questions, concerns, and reactions
- Provide TIP based education
- Ensure up-to-date TIP information and protocols
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage rotating call requirements (POC: Monday-Friday 7 am- 5pm, Call Assist/Support: 8 am-5pm)
- Manage and stabilize grade 1, 2, 3 reactions
- Collaborate with Escalation leads/Logistics MD to ensure necessary follow up
- Complete escalation case write-ups and present during daily Escalation Rounds
- Complete follow-ups/resolution to patient cases presented
- Answer, triage and escalate questions, concerns, and reactions
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant School
- Current New Jersey NP and RN or PA License
- 1-2 years previous experience administering and monitoring allergens and oral immunotherapy
- National Provider Identification Number (NPI)
- PA or NP Certifications, preferred
- BLS, PALS and ACLS Certification
- Familiarity with medications and dosages, knowledge on how to draw medications/reconstitution, and IV placement required
- Proficiency with office software applications, such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite, and previous EMR experience
- Team mentality and positive working attitude
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires strong multi-tasking skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Interest in travel to affiliate clinics as additional support
