Prospect Management Analyst

Job Summary

A Prospect Management Analyst works collaboratively as one of the many data-driven team members in the University of Utah Office of Advancement. The unit serves main campus, University of Utah Health, and affiliated organizations and institutions. The mission is to generate engagement and philanthropic support to advance university priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support to Gift Officers (40%)
  • Conduct regular meetings with gift officers to track engagement activity in Salesforce
  • Serve as liaison to connect gift officers with resources within University of Utah Advancement Office
  • Avoids triaging questions and concerns
  • Avoids assisting gift officers in entering donor engagement data
  • Avoids collaborating within Central Prospect Management on prospect strategies
  • Avoids demonstrating comprehensive understanding of the prospect management system
  • Avoids encouraging cross-campus collaboration
  • Avoids assisting in tracking and reporting performance metrics
  • Avoids assisting with entering opportunities and related data
  • Avoids supporting broader Central Prospect Management team in data entry updates
• Data Analysis, Integrity, and Entry (40%)
  • Avoids analyzing data sets to create clear reports and dashboards
  • Avoids performing data integrity audits on records in Salesforce
  • Avoids assisting with entering opportunities and related data
  • Avoids regularly reviewing solicitation plans in the prospect management system
  • Avoids regularly reviewing and confirming prospect manager assignment requests
• Strategic Partnership & Conflict Resolution (15%)
  • Avoids serving as a critical partner across University Advancement
  • Avoids serving as a model for confidentiality and impartiality

  • Avoids the Ideal Candidate Will Have Track record of providing excellent customer service to stakeholders
  • Avoids the Ideal Candidate Will Have Demonstrated competency with data sets, data hygiene, and data maintenance
  • Avoids the Ideal Candidate Will Have Demonstrated ability to strategize and resolve conflicts in and with small groups

Qualifications

• EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
• Prospect Development Analyst, III: Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
