Prospect Management Analyst

Regular, ongoing position located in Eugene or Portland, Oregon. Hybrid eligible. $22.84 - $34.70 per hour, full-time (1.0 FTE).

University Advancement (UA) supports the University of Oregon’s mission by strategically positioning the university to create awareness, build long-term relationships, and secure resources. The division consists of approximately 200 employees primarily working out of Eugene, with offices in Portland and Bend. The Advancement Strategies and Technology Innovation (ASTI) department focuses on solving foundational issues to position UO Advancement for success in engagement and fundraising. Prospect Development, within ASTI, implements the prospect management system, identifies prospects, conducts strategic reviews, and provides intelligence to optimize fundraising efforts. This work is critical to the future success of fundraising at the University of Oregon.

About the Role

Reporting to the Associate Director of Prospect Development, the Prospect Management Analyst audits and tracks prospect records while maintaining data integrity throughout the pipeline. This role reviews and revises policies, procedures, and reports, and engages key stakeholders in system discussions. The analyst conducts analytics and produces reports on prospect management data to inform development leadership and stakeholders about activities and fundraiser performance.

The ideal candidate will develop in-depth knowledge of the donor database system, maintain data integrity through audits, and use data visualization to inform department strategies. This position requires collaboration with fundraisers and staff, hands-on instruction for data input and retrieval, and training on Prospect Management System policies.

Responsibilities

• Audit and track prospect records to ensure data integrity.
• Review and revise policies, procedures, and reports related to the Prospect Management System.
• Engage key stakeholders in discussions and system reviews.
• Conduct analytics and produce reports on prospect management data for development leadership.
• Communicate and strategize with frontline fundraisers and their assistants on prospect management.
• Provide hands-on instruction for data input, information retrieval, and training on system policies.
• Use data visualization and analysis to inform department strategies and metrics.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

Requirements

• College-level courses in statistics (at least six quarter hours), research methods, and computer software applications (e.g., Statistical Analyses System, Lotus 1-2-3); OR
• Three years of experience assisting with gathering, compiling, analyzing, and reporting research information and statistical data, including drafting narrative or statistical reports; OR
• An equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Transcripts must be submitted for all required and/or related courses.

• Experience providing training on complex systems and/or internal policies and procedures.
• Experience with Salesforce CRM database.
• Experience with Tableau or other data visualization software.
