Job Description
The Salvation Army Central Territory Headquarters is seeking an experienced Property Support Assistant to work in the office and support various property-related projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Review, screen, and verify property project proposals for proper format, accuracy, and supporting attachments.
- Provide general support to the Property Assets Manager, Architectural Services Director, Territorial Property Secretary, and Assistant Territorial Property Secretary.
- Research and gather information and reports on warranties, replacement dates, etc. for proposals.
- Scan, organize, and file blueprints, documents, and reports in a structured system.
- Gather information for department and divisional requests.
- Enter data into facilities & infrastructure program (Archibus).
- Enter work requests into work order system.
- Prepare and process property proposals and requests for funding at territorial headquarters.
- Support the property department staff with drafting basic correspondence, scanning, filing, and copying.
- Perform front desk duties as scheduled and assist with property trainings, special projects, and assignments, including preparing PowerPoint presentations.
- Provide back-up to other department positions during vacations and PTO days.
- Take and distribute property meeting minutes as requested.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Some college education preferred.
- Three years of office experience.
- Or, any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Skills & Abilities
- Clerical, data entry, and keyboarding skills.
- Working knowledge of standard office equipment, including copiers, multi-line telephones, scanners, printers, etc.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Power Point and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to learn property aspects of IBM Notes.
- Database experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic property and architectural terminology is preferred.
- Professional etiquette, willingness to take initiative, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Travel
Occasional travel (approximately 10-15 times a year) to assist with trainings or take notes at local meetings.
