Property Maintenance Assistant

About the role

Join our vibrant team at Tapestry Senior Living of Moon, where you’ll make a daily impact in the lives of our residents.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, and grounds.
• Inspect lighting, HVAC units, plumbing, safety equipment, and other areas regularly.
• Absorb minor repairs and assist with resident moves.
• Maintain lawns, landscaping, outdoor areas, and community vehicles.
• Troubleshoot maintenance problems and coordinate with vendors for complex repairs.
• Ensure maintenance coverage for after-hours emergencies.

Requirements

• Prior experience in building maintenance (assisted living experience preferred).
• Knowledge of:
• Plumbing: commodes, fixtures, drains, heaters, dishwashers, ice machines.
• Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC): operation/mechanics of heat pumps, refrigeration systems.
• Electrical systems: wiring, voltage, amperage.
• Mechanics: design and operation of engines.

Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Ability to communicate clearly, use sound judgment, and handle emergencies effectively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Pay

$18/hr + credit given for experience.

Schedule

Monday-Friday | 7:30am-4:00pm
