Proof Pizza Cook (Part-Time)

About the Role

This Pizza Cook is the most seasoned and maintains the highest level of experience among our Line Cooks. You will follow all instructions assigned by the chefs, ensure assigned duties are carried out, prepare and cook all food items according to menus, and expedite orders quickly and correctly. You will also ensure all stations are set to outlet standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food quickly and correctly in a timely manner following all required recipes.
• Correctly store food by utilizing proper rotation and dating.
• Maintain sanitary standards before, during, and after service.
• Determine inventory of food items and requisition from storeroom.
• Set up equipment needed for preparation prior to service.
• Maintain a high quality level of food production and presentation.
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and personal hygiene.
• Set up station, break it down, and complete all necessary advance prep.
• Put all food away that has been requisitioned from the storeroom.
• Prepare all food items according to recipe specifications.
• Maintain the condition and cleanliness of the work area.
• Break down and clean station at the end of each scheduled shift.
• Ensure coolers are cleaned, organized, and locked after work if finished.
• Create specials from items not being used.
• Assist in the control of food waste.

Requirements

• Friendly and polite team member.
• Ability to follow instructions from the chef.
• Ability to read micros orders.
• Professional schooling from culinary school or 3 years of similar experience.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and food items.
• Knowledge of proper stocks, sauces, meat fabrication, fish filleting, etc.
• Working knowledge of sauté, grill, fry, and poultry stations.
• Garnishing knowledge and experience.
• Knowledge of the English language.
• Possess leadership abilities.
• Ability to work long hours and under pressure.
• Ability to work various shifts.
• Ability to obtain Sanitation Certification.
