Promotion Assistant

About the role

Cumulus Media is seeking a hard-working Part-Time Promotions Assistant. This role involves general office duties and interacting with listeners and promoting stations in the community. The Promotions Assistant will travel to events, set up and break down equipment, and represent the Cumulus stations as a Brand Ambassador.

The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality, be social media savvy, and have a passion for radio. The position requires lifting 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and being available to work at least 20 hours per week, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and execution of promotional events and digital campaigns
• Set up and break down remote broadcasts and station events, troubleshooting issues as needed
• Represent stations at events in an upbeat and friendly manner
• Enter data for promotional events and contesting
• Create e-blasts, social media posts, and website posts
• Maintain inventory and storage of prize closet, calendars, and events
• Assist with vehicle inspections, fuel, and maintenance
• Drive station vehicles with attached trailer
• Maintain and store station equipment

Qualifications

• No experience necessary, but customer service experience is helpful
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
• Reliable, flexible schedule, and available to work at least 20 hours per week
• Able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Outgoing, energetic, detail-oriented, and responsible
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Multi-tasking abilities and event experience a plus
• Strong social media skills and a positive attitude

Pay

The pay range for this position is $15.00 per hour.
