Project Supervisor

Pay Range: $28.14 - $39.39 Hourly (DOE)

The Project Supervisor takes direction from the Project Manager and ensures assigned jobs are scheduled and completed timely. This position reports directly to a Branch or Department Manager.

Responsibilities

• Supports and/or assists in managing the production phase of a job(s) for the Project Manager.
• Conducts job site visits and quality checks the work performed by crews.
• Reviews and confirms job schedules with the Project Manager to identify staffing needs, equipment, logistics, and timelines.
• Orders and maintains appropriate levels of supplies and material for the branch/department at the direction of the Branch or Department Manager.
• Coordinates crews based on approved schedules, assigns, and oversees completion of work.
• Collaborates with Project Coordinators in the dispatching of crews during peak times.
• Confirms job hours and documentation are accurately accounted for on work orders and submits accordingly.
• Supports Project Manager in providing direction, support, and assistance to crews to help complete projects.
• Provides timely work status updates and recommendations to Project Coordinators, Project Managers, and Branch/Department Manager.
• Performs mitigation work at job sites where necessary (depending on assigned department).
• Responsible for the housekeeping of the warehouse and vehicles (depending on branch/department).
• Trains branch/department employees on production processes, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Promotes company core values, policies, and procedures; ensures adherence and reports deficiencies accordingly.
• Provides hands-on coaching, mentoring, and skills development in the field; conducts regular one-on-one training sessions and competency assessments.
• Prepares teams for training refresher courses; ensures all staff follow regulatory and company safety requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in leading crews (8 or more) in projects in the restoration/mitigation industry.
• Effective communication in English, orally and in writing, with employees, customers, and other departments.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Proficient in supervising a group of approximately 20 employees.
• Willingness to travel intra or out-of-state for an undetermined amount of time.
• Working knowledge of software applications (MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel; Dropbox; job-required apps; email).
• Industry-related certifications desirable (NIDR and IICRC).

Safety Requirements

• Adhere to all local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, goggles, hard hats, and safety footwear.
• Successfully complete a pulmonary function test, including a respirator fit test.
• Potential exposure to physical hazards: vibration from equipment, risk of falls, extreme temperatures, and high noise levels.
• Work may involve exposure to chemicals (solvents, adhesives, paints, cleaning agents) and biological hazards (mold, bacteria, pathogens).
• Complete mandatory safety training (hazard communication, emergency response, safe equipment handling).
• Identify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, incidents, or injuries to supervisors.
• Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures, including evacuation routes and emergency contacts.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
• Physical Activities: Ability to perform tasks requiring walking, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, climbing, squatting, crawling, lifting above shoulder, and twisting.
• Sitting and Standing: Prolonged sitting or standing (in office, driving, or at job sites); regular alternation between both.
• Repetitive Motions: Continuous repetitive motion involving hands, wrists, or arms (e.g., typing, data entry).
• Machinery Operation: Capacity to operate machinery and tools requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Visual Ability: Requirement for clear vision (e.g., close work, computer use, eye-hand coordination).

Working Conditions

• Office Environment: Indoor office setting with standard equipment (computers, phones, printers); regular meetings (in-person or virtual).
• Field Environment: Outdoor fieldwork at restoration sites (residential, commercial, or industrial properties); exposure to weather conditions (sun, rain, snow, heat).
• Hazardous Environments: Potential exposure to hazardous materials, chemicals, or contaminants; strict adherence to safety protocols and PPE required.
• Work after hours and weekends due to 24/7 business operations.
• Travel Requirements: Travel to and from job sites using company or personal vehicles; possibility of out-of-town trainings, meetings, or conferences.
