About the role

The Project Manager - Training, Hiring, Data, Finance & Communications serves under the direction of the Deputy Executive Director of Exceptional Student Education (ESE) to provide leadership in the planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of district-wide strategic initiatives. This position oversees projects related to professional learning, recruitment and hiring, data and performance management, finance and purchasing coordination, internal and external communications, compliance initiatives, and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage strategic projects supporting the Exceptional Student Education Division.
  • Coordinate district-wide professional learning, onboarding, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Support recruitment, hiring events, onboarding, and staffing initiatives in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards, data reports, presentations, and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate finance-related activities including purchasing, budget tracking, and resource allocation for special projects.
  • Develop and implement internal and external communication plans, newsletters, presentations, and stakeholder updates.
  • Coordinate planning and operational readiness for opening new classrooms, specialized programs, and school sites.
  • Monitor classroom readiness, including staffing, furniture, equipment, technology, instructional materials, and operational needs.
  • Support the Deputy Executive Director in responding to parent concerns, constituent inquiries, and school-based issues requiring central office assistance.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, facilitate meetings, track action items, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Support compliance initiatives, corrective action plans, audits, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Prepare executive correspondence, Board materials, reports, and recommendations.
  • Identify project risks and recommend solutions to ensure successful implementation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, Project Management, Communications, Finance, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible experience managing projects, operations, or strategic initiatives.
  • Experience in K-12 education or public sector organizations preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), CAPM, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of IDEA, MARSE, Section 504, and special education operations preferred.
