Essential Job Functions
- Serve as Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, leading siting, routing, and environmental permitting projects
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Lead preparation of land use and resource permit applications for federal, state, and local agencies
- Support project development activities, including technical analysis, permitting strategy, and financial considerations
- Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols
- Support business development activities, including RFI, RFP, and RFQ responses
- Maintain a high level of industry knowledge and professional development
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level project managers and planners
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on client service and safety
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards
Qualifications
- High-integrity professional with a strong commitment to delivering results
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related technical field
- 8–15+ years of experience in environmental permitting and energy project development
- Experience with: Siting and routing evaluations, Environmental permitting and regulatory processes, Technical studies and permit applications, CEQA (EIRs/MNDs), NEPA documentation, California Energy Commission (CEC) and/or CPUC applications
- Prior environmental consulting experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with GIS and siting-related software
- Strong technical writing, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Project and ArcGIS preferred)

Work Environment / Travel
Remote-based role within California with affiliation to the Irvine office. Travel required for project work, client meetings, and team collaboration.
Compensation
Pay commensurate with experience. Pay Range: $130,000-$180,000 annually.
