Essential Job Functions

  • Assists in identifying opportunities for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of operational project management
  • Fosters a culture of safety; administers company safety program and training as needed
  • Coordinates target specific programs and initiatives designed to improve performance within a product line, business unit, or specific project
  • Assists in training of Branch Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure consistent performance within a product line
  • Assists Regional Project Manager and Region Vice-Presidents with management/implementation of cost (financial & labor) tracking and reporting system(s) at a project, branch and district level
  • Assesses operational workflow, resource utilization, technology, and skills to identify efficiency gains
  • Develops solutions to meet and exceed organizational goals, quality and cost objectives
  • Coordinates internal resources from the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensures that all projects are delivered in-time, with scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Understanding of Oracle and Servigistic programs
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project cost using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Successfully manage the relationship with all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and high quality business updates
  • Work closely with USFO Team on all communication and project performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Some travel required, up to 10%

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in elevator/construction industry desirable
  • Requires thorough knowledge of elevator equipment and the construction industry and knowledge of installation procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and/or structural blueprints/drawings
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Must be self-motivated, have high energy and willing to adapt to many different personalities and situations
  • Management would include all aspects of the job, safety, planning, scheduling, manpower, financials, paperwork, etc
  • Candidate must be willing and able to work in a large, busy and at times stressful environment
