Project Manager - Fabrication

Responsibilities
- Work with customers and internal teams to define scope, requirements, and solutions
- Support design, estimating, and cost development for fabricated components
- Build and manage accurate cost proposals (materials, labor, methods, margins)
- Review drawings, specs, and industry standards to ensure build accuracy
- Coincide closely with the shop to keep projects moving and on schedule
- Provide technical support to production and resolve fabrication challenges
- Communicate clearly with customers, vendors, and internal teams
- Track project progress, costs, and performance
- Compare estimated vs. actual costs to improve future quoting accuracy
- Contribute to process improvements, cost reductions, and better build methods
Requirements
- Associate degree required (technical emphasis preferred; Bachelor’s a plus)
- 2–4+ years in fabrication, job shop, or manufacturing environment
- Experience with estimating, quoting, or cost analysis strongly preferred
- Familiarity with drawings, specs, and fabrication methods
- Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, or piping systems is a plus
- Microsoft Office required (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Mechanically inclined with an interest in fabrication and manufacturing
- Organized and able to manage multiple projects at once
- Comfortable making decisions and taking ownership
- Problem-solver who looks for better ways to do the work
- Clear communicator with both shop teams and customers
- Able to stay focused in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Work Environment / Physical Requirements
This role is primarily office-based with regular interaction on the shop floor. It requires extended computer use, communication across teams, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Light physical activity such as standing, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds may be required.
