Construction / Fabrication Project Manager

What You'll Do

• Manage Projects from Start to Finish
• Lead multiple custom fabrication and construction projects from estimating and planning through fabrication, installation, and project closeout.
• Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and production timelines.
• Cooky coordination of labor, subcontractors, vendors, materials, equipment, and logistics to keep projects moving efficiently.
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and potential risks.
• Manage project scope, change orders, budgets, and overall profitability.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Cooky Construction & Fabrication Work
• Cooky closely with Technical Directors, Fabrication Managers, Shop Supervisors, and Installation Crews to execute complex builds.
• Review construction drawings, blueprints, shop drawings, CAD files, and engineering documents for constructability and accuracy.
• Cooky coordinate purchasing of materials and outsourced services including: Structural steel, Powder coating, Galvanizing, Specialty fabrication, Freight and transportation.
• Track fabrication milestones and ensure production aligns with installation schedules.
• Participate in shop and field meetings to resolve technical and scheduling issues.
• Cooky Organization & Communication
• Serve as the central communication hub between clients, sales, engineering, fabrication, vendors, and installation teams.
• Maintain organized project documentation including schedules, RFIs, submittals, work orders, budgets, and change orders.
• Provide clear project updates and communicate expectations across all departments.
• Ensure all project documentation is accurate, current, and accessible.

What We're Looking For

• Required Experience
• We're seeking candidates with strong project management experience in one or more of the following industries: Commercial Construction, Design-Build Construction, Structural Steel, Custom Fabrication, Architectural Millwork, Industrial Construction, Manufacturing, Scenic Fabrication, Themed Entertainment, Exhibit Construction, Specialty Contracting.
• Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience managing complex construction or fabrication projects.
• Qualifications
• Education
• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Architecture, or related field is preferred.
• Technical Knowledge
• A Strong Understanding Of Commercial construction practices, Structural steel fabrication, Welding and metal fabrication, Carpentry and custom fabrication, Reading construction drawings and specifications, Blueprint interpretation, Shop drawings, Installation sequencing, Material procurement, Construction scheduling, Project budgeting, Logistics planning.
• Experience With Any Of The Following Is Preferred
• AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, ERP or manufacturing software, Strong Microsoft Office Skills, Especially Excel, Are Required.
• Critical Skills
• The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized and able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• You Should Excel At Construction project planning, Scheduling and prioritization, Organization and documentation, Vendor coordination, Trade coordination, Budget management, Problem-solving under pressure, Decision-making, Team leadership, Client communication, Attention to detail, Time management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in office, fabrication shop, and warehouse.
• Ability to walk jobsites, climb stairs and ladders, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
