Project Manager/Estimator - Carpentry

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare budgets, estimates, and solicit/evaluate quotes from suppliers/subcontractors for construction projects.
• Upon award, be responsible for the procurement of all materials for the project.
• Manage multiple estimates and proposals concurrently.
• Perform accurate and thorough quantity take-offs.
• Properly evaluate drawings, specs, and other bid documents for all involved scope.
• Conduct site visits, pre-bid meetings, and perform detailed scope evaluations for all trade work.
• Use multiple software systems and web applications for estimating.

Project Manager Responsibilities

• Submission of all required samples, product data, and shop drawings for approval by the architect.
• Review shop drawings and relay pertinent information to the field team.
• Procure all project required materials.
• Forecast and analyze construction costs, exposures, and profits.
• Manage project costs, through ongoing evaluations of labor, material, and equipment.
• Interface with all company departments as necessary to resolve any issue.
• Ensure all safety measures, procedures, and requirements are met, followed, and practiced.
• Submission of record drawings, maintenance manuals & warranties to ensure a smooth and successful closeout.

Computer Equipment And Software Requirements

• Required: Bluebeam (or similar) PDF viewer/takeoff software, Microsoft Applications (Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• PREFERRED: Onscreen Takeoff.

Education And Experience Requirements

• Education: A.S. or B.S. in Construction or equivalent field experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 - 5 years general construction experience.
