Responsibilities
- Distribution & Construction Management: Coordinates and plans large main construction, maintenance, and replacement projects; ensures adherence to construction methods and schedules.
- On-site Construction Management: Supervises and coordinates construction activities, resolving issues and delays to maintain project schedules.
- Project Closeout: Ensures timely project completion and closeout, including re-paving excavations and notifying contractors.
- Resource Management: Manages construction resources to maximize productivity, safety, quality, and cost savings.
- Personnel Management: Assesses employee needs, ensures proper training, and monitors project progress.
- Finance & Accounting: Maintains departmental budget, controls overtime, and manages spending for operating and capital budgets.
- Other Functions: Stays updated on new trends and technologies, provides best practices, and participates in industry committees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field (Advanced degree and/or Professional engineering license preferred).
- 3-5 years relevant experience in construction and/or project management, preferably in the natural gas industry.
- 1-3 years supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of PGW's corporate systems and interfaces, including Itron meter reading, BCCS, Goldmine customer contact system, AIMS, or similar utility work management systems.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to natural gas maintenance and operations.
- Supervisory skills, interpersonal/communications skills, problem-solving skills, flexibility, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project/Visio.
- Experience in union environments or familiarity with collective bargaining impacts.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with a good driving record.
Pay
$96,500.00 - $120,000.00/yr
