Responsibilities
- Establish project goals, priorities, and execution strategies in collaboration with project teams and stakeholders
- Lead project planning activities from preconstruction through project closeout
- Develop and maintain project management plans, schedules, budgets, and reporting tools
- Coordinate activities between Operations, Preconstruction, Accounting, Safety, and other internal departments
- Conduct project meetings, owner meetings, subcontractor meetings, and coordination meetings
- Support staffing plans and provide leadership, mentoring, and development opportunities for Project Engineers and other assigned personnel
- Foster a collaborative team environment focused on safety, quality, communication, and project success
- Oversee construction operations including RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, document control, quality control, and material delivery
- Manage subcontractor relations, contracts, purchase orders, and closeout processes
- Handle financial and risk management including project buy-out, budget management, cost reporting, change order negotiation, and insurance compliance
- Serve as key liaison between field operations, office operations, clients, architects, consultants, and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8–10 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Strong track record leading commercial projects through full lifecycle (preconstruction to closeout)
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships
- Excellent technical, organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and support company culture and values
