About the role

The Project Manager – Customer Advocate supports the coordination and execution of customer orders to drive on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. This role contributes to departmental objectives by tracking project progress, maintaining clear communication across teams, and identifying potential risks.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor customer orders from initiation through completion to ensure timely execution and delivery.
  • Track project schedules and coordinate with internal teams to ensure resources are aligned with production needs.
  • Identify potential risks such as delays or material shortages and escalate issues to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication between internal departments and external representatives to ensure alignment on project status and expectations.
  • Prepare and distribute project status updates and reports to support visibility and decision-making.
  • Participate in project review meetings to gather updates and support issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to project progress, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by documenting lessons learned and identifying opportunities for efficiency gains.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline; 2+ years of experience in project coordination, customer service, or a related role within a manufacturing or industrial environment, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of project management and customer service principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.

Essential And Physical Functions

  • Frequent use of computer systems for tracking, reporting, and communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Occasional standing and walking during meetings or production floor visits.
  • Use of fine motor skills for data entry, documentation, and communication tasks.
  • Able to analyze information and make routine decisions.

Work Environment

  • Perform all tasks on-site in both office and manufacturing settings.
  • Regular interaction with engineering, supply chain, and production teams.
  • Exposure to moderate to high noise levels during production floor visits.
  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts when in manufacturing areas.
  • Compliance with all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required in production areas.
