Baldwin & Shell Construction Company is searching for an experienced Project Manager to join our Northwest Arkansas Team. This team handles general commercial construction, construction management, and design-build delivery projects of all sizes throughout Northwest Arkansas and beyond.

About the role

The Project Manager plays a key management role in the organization and implementation of projects from start to finish, overseeing scheduling, cost control, and contract execution. Depending on project complexity and cost, an assisting Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager may be assigned. You will report directly to the Senior Project Manager or Division Vice President.

Responsibilities

Coordinate all resources and vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
Ensure all projects are delivered on time and within scope and budget.
Establish and maintain relationships with the project team, third parties, vendors, and subcontractors.
Review daily job reports, manage change orders and RFI process, prepare and submit pay applications.
Communicate regularly with owners, architects, and subcontractors.
Resolve issues and disputes in a timely and diplomatic manner.
Thoroughly read general conditions and contracts with owners.
Prepare monthly schedule updates with input from the Superintendent.
Monitor project costs and review weekly labor cost analysis.
Prepare monthly cost projections and ensure all cost items are posted to the correct code.
Resolve discrepancies between committed and actual costs and project costs through end of year.
Monitor monthly equipment charges to project in accordance with contract.
Review project costs, subcontractor pay requests, and prepare monthly billings.
Review subcontracts/purchase orders for revisions or amendments by subcontractors/vendors.
Provide frequent updates to Senior Project Manager/Division Vice President.
Support and coordinate with the Project Superintendent.
Prepare project schedules with the superintendent and key subcontractors.
Participate in interviews and presentations as required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least five (5) years of experience in commercial construction.
At least two (2) years of Project Management experience in Commercial Construction projects of at least $10M in size.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with advanced knowledge of Project Management software.
Able to read construction drawings and blueprints accurately.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Highly developed organizational and time management abilities.
Strong financial skills to develop, track, and analyze project budgets.
Willingness to continuously learn and expand knowledge.
Able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.

Pursuant to the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive role according to Baldwin & Shell standards and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Procore, Vista, Docuware, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project.
