Project Manager (Anthology Refresh)
Location: Hybrid in St Charles, MO (3 days onsite, 2 remote). Contract-to-hire (beginning with 6-month term). The name of the partner organization will be disclosed during the interview process. Work sponsorship is not available for this role.
About the role
Drives successful outcomes for mid-size (< $1M) and small projects by expertly managing project teams. Specializes in comprehensive project lifecycle management and methodology, from scoping and planning to execution, analysis, and tracking. Adept at change management, team facilitation, risk mitigation, and delivering clear stakeholder communications and reporting. This role works closely with a senior project manager, department leaders, and department staff, following project management leading practices consistent with PMI and PMBOK standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead Project Execution & Team Performance: Manage deliverables from assigned resources and ensure the team meets and exceeds project goals.
- Project Planning & Scoping: Develop comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structures, timelines, dependencies, and milestones. Perform tasks related to project scoping, planning, execution, resource allocations, time approval, change management, stakeholder management, and meeting facilitation. Manage daily team task assignments using project management methodologies like Agile or Waterfall.
- Develop and maintain project-related documents: Craft project documentation, including a project charter, project plan, go-no-go, and RAID documents.
- Proactive Risk Management & Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze task completion, identify risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and adjust schedules as needed.
- Stakeholder Communication & Reporting Excellence: Provide transparent updates on project status, progress, and critical insights through thorough project reports and dashboard documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, MIS, or related field.
- 5 years of project management experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business, MIS, or related field.
- 5-8 years of project management experience in application development and/or implementation, preferably in higher education or IT.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience.
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
