Project Manager 2

The Scrum Master

Operates as a Servant Leader and facilitator for 2-3 Agile teams, ensuring the effective implementation of Scrum and Kanban principles.

Strong negotiator, excellent logic and problem-solving skills, and drive to make a difference required.

Enforces the rules of Scrum, removes impediments from the team, promotes self-management, and drives a culture of continuous improvement.

Liaison & Communication

• Serve as liaison between technical and non-technical departments.
• Communicate with other management, developers, product owners, and technical support specialists on product issues.
• Coach the team on best practices (maintaining a healthy backlog, developing high-quality user stories, estimating, and delivering).

Development

• Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, and other Scrum-related meetings.
• Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress.
• Maintain process documentation.
• Ensure the team members are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.

Application Support

• Assist with backlog maintenance and reviewing quality of user stories.
• Aid in internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
• Aid in prioritization and resolution of defects / bugs.

Management

• Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team working agreement, standards, and tools.
• Develop and manage Team performance metrics, leverage to drive efficiencies in the process.
• Identify and remove impediments, prevent distractions.
• Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution.
• Empower the team to self-organize.
