Project Management Intern (PART TIME)

Job Summary

Aspen Fiber Networks is seeking a Project Management Intern (Preconstruction & Bidding) to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience in project management within the technology and telecommunications industry, focusing on early stages of project development and preconstruction.

About the Role

This role is ideal for students looking to gain practical experience in project management, specifically in the context of structured cabling and infrastructure projects. The intern will support the early stages of project development and preconstruction, working closely with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Identify project opportunities and gather and organize project data
• Coordinate with general contractors
• Support the bidding process
• Request and obtain project plans, specifications, and access to bid portals
• Aid in preparing project proposals and submitting bid applications
• Track bid opportunities and submission status
• Accurately enter and update information in D-Tools
• Manage contacts, projects, and bid opportunities
• Make phone calls and send emails to build and maintain industry contacts

Requirements

• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable making phone calls and sending emails
• Strong follow-through and accountability
• Able to manage multiple tasks and track progress
• Self-motivated and consistent

Preferred

• Interest in construction, telecommunications, structured cabling, or project management
• Familiarity with CRM tools or data entry systems
• Experience with research or coordination roles
