Oversees and manages
Leads and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as a liaison between project management, planning, project team, and line management. Reviews project status and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
- Lead VWI Process Improvement Projects
- Develop and execute process improvement projects across CVN, leveraging expertise in lean principles, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall performance.
- Performance Metrics and KPI Analysis
- Gather, analyze, and present data on key performance metrics and KPIs, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions and optimize operations.
- Value Stream Level Conversations
- Facilitate collaborative discussions with other departments to identify opportunities for improvement, align processes, and implement changes that enhance the overall value stream.
- Senior Leadership Representation
- Attend and present in senior leadership meetings on behalf of E92, providing updates on project progress, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives.
Additional Duties:
- Developing and maintaining project plans (POAMs), schedules, and budgets (cost analysis)
- Coinciding with stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet expectations
- Identifying and mitigating risks, issues, and dependencies
- Collaborating with team members to share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned
Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 8 year of relevant professional experience
- NNS Apprentice School graduate Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
- Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
- High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
- High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
Nice to Have:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in data analysis and interpretation
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels
- Proven ability to lead and facilitate collaborative teams, with strong stakeholder management skills
- Strong knowledge of lean principles, process improvement methodologies, and project management best practices
- Proficiency in MS Office, with expertise in Excel and PowerPoint
