Project Executive
Location: Quanah, TX (rotational and local candidates considered) – Construction: DEPCON
The Opportunity
As Project Executive, you will be accountable for the overall success of projects you oversee. This role provides daily leadership of project teams and nurtures existing client relationships. It requires strong leadership, project‑management expertise, and a deep understanding of data‑center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while also encompassing business development to complete projects efficiently and cost‑effectively. The Project Executive will oversee multiple projects, manage project administration, and handle complex, integrated initiatives, maintaining a Project Manager mindset to ensure accuracy and efficiency from all team members and company representatives, while fostering strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Overall Project Accountability: Ensure complete oversight of the project, aligning with design specifications, budget constraints, and timeliness.
- Communication Leader: Facilitate clear and consistent communications among all project stakeholders, develop and implement communication plans, and resolve communication barriers.
- Work Planning and Oversight: Plan, direct, and manage divisional work plans, including construction projects and facilities services; assign tasks, review contracts for compliance, and address discrepancies.
- Capital Planning & Budget Administration: Act as the main liaison for internal and external stakeholders regarding capital planning and construction; supervise and develop budgets, monitor expenditures, and approve costs.
- Goal Development and Strategic Planning: Collaborate in creating and implementing divisional goals, recommend actions to meet objectives, and participate in strategic planning activities.
- Agency Oversight & Contract Management: Represent the company in overseeing third‑party agencies, vendors, and contractors; oversee development of RFQs, RFPs, bids, contracts, and proposals; negotiate and administer contracts.
- Safety and Operational Strategies: Develop and implement programs to maintain safe, functional, secure, clean, and orderly facilities, ensuring efficient operations.
- Problem Solving and Implementation: Analyze issues, troubleshoot problems, identify alternative solutions, and implement recommendations.
- Personnel Management: Select, train, motivate, and evaluate staff; coordinate training and professional development; counsel employees and implement disciplinary actions as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or a minimum of 15 years of professional construction experience.
- Minimum of 10 years Construction Management/Engineering experience with Mission Critical/Data Center or Heavy Industrial background.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large‑scale construction projects with strong knowledge of data‑center design, construction, and operational requirements.
