About the role

The Project Estimator-Level 2 - Experienced (6 - 10 Years) position is available for remote work in Juno Beach, Florida. This role is crucial for developing, quantifying, and costing capital expenditure (CapEx) models for various projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project cost estimates, including conceptual, preliminary, and definitive estimates for new and existing projects.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather and analyze project specifications and drawings to prepare accurate estimates.
• Perform value engineering analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and project requirements.
• Develop and maintain estimation tools, databases, and methodologies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of cost estimating processes.
• Conduct market pricing research and remain current with technology and industry evolution to anticipate market conditions.
• Establish, build, and implement metrics for cost and construction estimate checks.
• Present cost estimates and value engineering options to senior management and project stakeholders.
• Track project costs and variances throughout the project lifecycle, updating estimates as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all estimating activities.

Requirements

• Experience: 6 - 10 years of experience in capital cost estimates, independently supporting cost evaluations, and integrating staffing considerations into estimates.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, or Engineering.
• Six Sigma Certification (Yellow Belt or higher).
• Internship or practical experience in construction management or engineering.
• Experience with cost estimation software and tools (e.g., PlanSwift, WinEst, CostX, or similar).
• Familiarity with project management software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
