About the Role
The Project Engineer supports the Water/Wastewater Division by completing assigned project tasks under the direction of the Project Manager. The role involves collaboration with the estimating division, Project Assistant, Project Superintendent, and Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Maintain project logs (e.g., storage logs, concrete pour log, RFI log)
- Maintain and update schedules (e.g., valve schedule, project schedule)
- Identify the need for Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Create production plans
- Coordinate facility startup activities and production planning
- Prepare, review, and process submittals and shop drawings
- Maintain as-built drawings
- Collect and assemble O&M material
- Perform purchase order and subcontract scope analysis and drafting
- Handle material purchasing, expediting, and tracking
- Develop value engineering designs and proposals
- Distribute contract documents to jobsite, vendors, and subcontractors
- Coordinate subcontractors
- Visit project sites to monitor progress, conformance to plans, and standards
- Develop and distribute meeting agendas and meeting minutes
- Collect and enforce safety programs and other safety documentation
Requirements
- Four-year Engineering Degree
Skills
- Excellent math skills
- Scheduling proficiency
- Knowledge of surveying fundamentals
- Adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
