Project Delivery Manager – 1898 & Co. – Power System Planning (New England – New York/Wallingford areas
About the role
The New England organization at 1898 & Co. is seeking a Project Delivery Manager to lead an execution team within the Transmission Planning & Power Systems Analysis and/or Grid Modernization & Distribution Planning business lines.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to a team of consultants and analysts, supporting the execution of projects within the specified business lines and adjacent service areas.
- Recruit, develop, train, and retain high-performing staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations, monthly one-on-ones, and provide clear instruction and guidance to direct reports.

- Interpret and communicate organizational goals and policies to staff.
- Provide expert-level technical guidance and support for consulting engagements in transmission planning, distribution planning, and power systems analysis.
- Ensure staff levels, loading, and assignments meet project requirements and billable targets.
- Collaborate with project managers, managing directors, and proposal teams to support business development and secure new work for the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, finance, business, or other related field and 5 years of related experience required.
- Previous leadership and/or management experience is preferable.
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
- Must possess strong project management skills and a strategic perspective.
- Expertise in the use of computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Compensation
$135,000.00 - $260,000.00 yearly
The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location.
