About the role

Our New England organization is looking for a Project Delivery Manager who will lead an execution team within our Transmission Planning & Power Systems Analysis and/or Grid Modernization & Distribution Planning business lines. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone passionate about building strong teams, delivering high-quality consulting services, and supporting utility clients as they plan and evolve the transmission grid.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the team; direct and coordinate work assignments and review performance to ensure efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff.
  • Recruit, develop, train, and retain high-performing staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, monthly one-on-ones, and provide clear instruction and guidance to direct reports.

  • Interpret and communicate organizational goals and policies to staff.
  • Provide expert-level technical guidance and support for consulting engagements in transmission planning, distribution planning, and power systems analysis.
  • Support profitable growth by ensuring staff levels, loading, and assignments meet project requirements and billable targets.
  • Coordinate workload for the team and communicate staffing needs to business line leads and managing directors.
  • Lead and support project QA/QC efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with company and safety policies.
  • Implement and support firm-wide programs and initiatives; lead your team through organizational change.
  • Achieve stated financial targets and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, managing directors, and proposal teams to support business development and secure new work for the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, finance, business, or other related field and 5 years of related experience required.
  • Previous leadership and/or management experience is preferable.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
  • Ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead, and manage change.
  • Strong project management skills and a strategic perspective.
  • Expert in the use of computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position is $135,000.00 - $260,000 yearly. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
