Progressive Pulmonary Care Unit RN (Part Time Days)

About the role

The registered nurse provides high‑quality, patient‑centered care for individuals with acute pulmonary conditions, including lung transplants, pulmonary hypertension, ventilator dependence, and related treatments. Working closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, the nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across the care continuum. The role emphasizes promoting safety, educating patients and families on managing health post‑discharge, and supporting patient rehabilitation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation within nursing standards.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, medication, and post‑treatment care.
• Participate in safety, quality improvement, and professional development activities.
• Develop and document personalized care plans with clear goals, collaborating with team members and patients.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.
• Maintain a safe environment, adhering to safety‑sensitive protocols.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current RN license required.
• No prior experience required, though two years of experience is preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and patient‑education skills.
• Ability to work in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced environment.

Schedule

Part‑time work, including days, weekends, and holidays, with 12‑hour shifts.
