About the Role
The Registered Nurse in the Pulmonary Progressive Care Unit provides high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with acute pulmonary conditions, including lung transplants, pulmonary hypertension, and ventilator management. The role involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team supported by advanced practice nurses and physicians.
Responsibilities
- Promote patient and family education on illness management, safety, and care plans.
- Develop and document individualized care plans, ensuring effective communication across the care continuum.
- Use critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs while maintaining a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Must hold an RN license with a nursing diploma or associate degree; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- No prior experience required, but less than 2 years of experience is preferred.
- Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness is essential.
- CCRN eligibility and BSN are advantageous.
