Pulmonary Progressive Care Nurse - Part Time

About the Role

The Registered Nurse in the Pulmonary Progressive Care Unit provides high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with acute pulmonary conditions, including lung transplants, pulmonary hypertension, and ventilator management. They collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, assess patient needs, and educate patients and families on managing their conditions and post-discharge care.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs
• Communicate care plans across the continuum
• Participate in professional development and patient education
• Provide direct patient care in a 9-bed unit with private rooms
• Utilize critical nursing skills for assessment and evaluation
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and safety as priorities
• Participate in patient safety initiatives and professional growth

Requirements

• Active RN license required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Nursing diploma or associate's degree required
• No prior experience necessary; less than 2 years of experience preferred
