Program Technician II
About the role
The Program Technician II in the Pre-Scan Unit reviews and analyzes complex document submissions, performs technical functions, and processes associated applicant fingerprint fees.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and analyzes more complex document submissions
- Performs varied technical functions involving receipt, distribution, and electronic scanning of criminal and applicant documents
- Processes associated applicant fingerprint fees and verifies appropriate fees
- Processes more complex documents for entry into the Automated Archive System (AAS)
- Accesses the automated Authorization Agency List and Applicant Processor database to validate the authorization of the submitting agency
- Validates the completeness and accuracy of information, including fees
- Understands the work flow of both automated and manual fingerprint processes within the Department
- Reviews and prepares more difficult transmittals and reconciles fees collected for processing applicant fingerprint cards
- Prepares transmittals for submission to accounting
- Processes daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports and forwards them to appropriate Bureau sections
- Provides training to section staff on various processes
Requirements
Extensive knowledge of state statutes and multiple Departmental programs is required.
Qualifications
Experience with the Automated Archive System (AAS), knowledge of the Authorization Agency List, and familiarity with the Applicant Processor database are beneficial.
Skills
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in computer systems are essential.
