About the role

The Supervisor, Patient Services at AssistRx is responsible for supervising and managing the intake teams who handle calls, facilitate enrollment, and conduct benefits investigations. This role involves planning and implementing operational strategies, improving systems and processes, meeting quality goals, building relationships with business partners, and providing development and management support to employees.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes, monitors, analyzes, and reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to effective patient access processes and initiatives.
  • Selects, hires, leads, and develops departmental associates; provides training, feedback, and development opportunities; coaches associates to ensure their success; manages performance.
  • Collaborates with call center management staff to execute programs to facilitate conversion, compliance, and adherence.
  • Coordinates and manages special projects which may involve cross-functional activities.
  • Presents to external audiences (primarily healthcare providers and insurers).

Requirements

  • Education and experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience including supervisory or applicable professional leadership experience. Without a bachelor's degree, applicable professional leadership experience must highlight the ability to lead, motivate, and interact in a telephone-focused team setting.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of financial assistance, 1-3 years of specialty pharmacy or pharmacy insurance, and 3-5 years of supervisor or lead experience.
  • Knowledge: Specific type of experience required includes 3-5 years of financial assistance, 1-3 years of specialty pharmacy or pharmacy insurance, and 3-5 years of supervisor or lead experience. Must have professional-level knowledge of customer care techniques and processes, and in-depth understanding of insurance plans and benefit structures. Experience in managing special projects in a call center or similar environment is preferred.
