Program Supervisor-Parents As Teachers

Major Responsibilities

  • Manage staff scheduling, workload distribution, and supervision for home visitors.
  • Conduct performance evaluation and provide ongoing performance feedback.
  • Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and hiring new staff.
  • Make recommendations regarding hiring and other staff-related decisions.
  • Provide weekly, high-quality reflective supervision and support to a team of home visitors.
  • Foster a supportive, team culture that prevents burnout and promotes professional growth.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Parents as Teachers (PAT) model, ensuring all performance standards, benchmarks, and affiliate requirements are met.
  • Monitor data entry, program documentation, and timelines for developmental screenings (and family assessments).
  • Manage the program intake process, risk screenings, and waitlists.
  • Conduct case and documentation reviews to ensure compliance.
  • Represent the agency in community coalitions, maternal-child health networks, and collaborative stakeholder meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with referral sources.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
  • Assist staff with program activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required in Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Human Services, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Ability to obtain or maintain Parents as Teachers (PAT) National Certification.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience working with young children and families in home-visiting, early childhood, or community mental health settings.
    • At least 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience, preferably utilizing a reflective supervision framework.
    • Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations and families prenatal to 5.
    • Strong proficiency in data tracking systems and case management software.
    • Excellent crisis-management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance for community-based work.
