Location: Culver City | Los Angeles
Founded in 1997, Think Together partners with schools to change the odds for kids by providing award-winning programs during and outside the school day. We’re one of California’s largest nonprofits working in school districts from San Diego to San Francisco.
Responsibilities
- Supervise successful day-to-day site operations
- Ensure all interactions with internal and external stakeholders operate consistently and ethically within the mission and values of Think Together and align with the four core agreements
- Directly oversee and support site-level staff
- Provide coaching, reinforce training, and ensure consistent implementation of routines, strategies, and behavior expectations
- Ensure Student Safety and Positive Experience
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students and staff
- Respond to incidents promptly and follow safety protocols
- Promote engagement and positive behavior throughout program activities
- Staff Hiring and Performance
- Participate in interviewing, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of site staff
- Make recommendations regarding training, discipline, and termination in accordance with HR policies
- Data and Compliance
- Accurately track student attendance and enrollment
- Maintain complete and timely program records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with Think Together and district policies
- School and Family Communication
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for school personnel, parents, and other stakeholders
- Maintain regular communication with the school principal and faculty to align goals and address student needs
- Program Quality and Metrics
- Monitor student participation, behavior, and learning outcomes
- Use data to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
- Meet required program metrics and deliverables
- Administrative Duties
- Ensure timely submission of staff timecards and accurate timekeeping
- Attend required virtual or in-person meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions
- Additional Duties
- Step into direct service roles when needed to support program continuity
- Fulfill other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) highly preferred
- Combination of education and experience related to position, with increasing responsibility, which may include however, not limited to 1-2 years of experience working in education/youth programs
- At least 1+ year in a supervisory position is required and 2+ years highly preferred
- Previous classroom experience required
- Must meet the minimum qualifications set by the partner district for a classroom instructional aide
- Strong ability to communicate with students, parents, school staff and faculty both verbally and in writing
- Excellent program management skills, including demonstrated record of completing tasks on time
- CPR/First Aid certified or ability to obtain within first 60 days of hire
- Satisfactory TB skin test
- Passing background check (DOJ & FBI)
