About the role

This full-time position leads initiatives to enhance nursing excellence, culture, professional development, and evidence-based practice within mental health services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives to enhance nursing excellence, culture, professional development, and evidence-based practice.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership, quality, accreditation, and IT to align metrics with organizational goals, utilizing data to improve clinical practice, patient outcomes, safety, and workflow efficiency.
  • Oversee change management, NDNQI data reporting, develop annual nursing reports, and support accreditation-related budget planning.
  • Manage the Behavioral Health Nurse Residency Program to ensure a structured, evidence-based transition for new nurses into mental health roles.
  • Partner with senior nursing leaders to translate data into actionable improvements, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous evidence-based nursing care.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or higher in nursing
  • Current Illinois RN licensure
  • CPR or RQI certification
  • 3-5 years of behavioral healthcare experience
