Program Manager II – Ground Development

About the role

The Program Manager will lead the development and execution of complex ground development programs. They will manage all aspects of program delivery, including technical performance, schedule, and cost. They will provide leadership and cross-functional team building to motivate, influence, and effectively apply the program staff. They will coordinate and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of a complex ground development program.
• Manage all aspects of program delivery, including technical performance, schedule, and cost.
• Provide sound leadership and cross-functional team building to motivate, influence, and effectively apply the program staff.
• Carefully coordinate and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
• Apply project management best practices to ensure successful program outcomes.
• Oversee large-scale program operations from planning through execution.
• Manage subcontractor scope and execution performance.
• Manage and support proposals, as required.
• Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company.
• Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements

This position requires a current, active Top Secret/SCI security clearance. The ideal candidate should have a BS/BA in a related field plus 10 or more years of related experience. A Master's degree in Engineering Management or equivalent is preferred. Experience with ground development programs, including system design, integration, and testing, is preferred. Knowledge of integrated space systems, including space/ground integration and operations and sustainment, is preferred. Subcontract Management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in related field plus 10 or more years related experience.

• Experience with ground development programs, including system design, integration, and testing.
• Knowledge of integrated space systems, including space/ground integration and operations and sustainment.
• Familiarity with BAE Systems' SMS product lines and technologies.
• Subcontract Management experience.

Skills

• Proven track record of successfully managing complex programs with multiple stakeholders.
• Solid knowledge of program management principles, practices, and tools, including Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $149603 - $254317. The salary range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
