About the role
This role involves directing all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsibilities include coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection, and training; performance assessment; work assignments; salary; and recognition/disciplinary actions. It also entails managing the cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
Responsibilities
- Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.
- Coordinates subordinate employee recruitment, selection, and training.
- Performs performance assessment and work assignments.
- Manages salary and recognizes/disciplines employees.
- Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, and specifications.
- Learns and leads program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Establishes design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test.
- Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer.
- Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules.
- Identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
- Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Aerospace, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, etc.), 15+ years of related technical and/or program management experience.
- Prior experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) and/or Earned Value Management (EVM) experience.
- Demonstrated experience as a leader of leaders.
Qualifications
- US Citizen, able to obtain and maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET clearance, including a TS/SCI with polygraph, to support this government contract.

- Prior experience in one or more of the following: Customer directed level of effort (LOE), fixed price and go fast contracts, Cyber defensive and offensive technical experience and knowledge, Agile release software development, Management of subcontractors, Experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple programs, Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and quickly adjust to changing priorities, Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with senior leadership, customers, and stakeholders, Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, Proven track record of establishing relationships with customers and other stakeholders.
