Key Roles (Essential Job Responsibilities)
- Provides guidance and development for part-time staff.
- Aid in preparing newly hired staff for working with program participants.
- Help frontline staff members understand their roles and contribute to a positive work culture.
- Assist with food service, kitchen staff, and the CACFP & SFSP food programs at the unit/site.
- Coordinate evidence-based programs that align with Boys & Girls Clubs goals and objectives to enhance academic success in members.
- Prepare paperwork and reports including attendance, program reports, and using the remind app.
- Maintain a safe, positive environment necessary for youth development by understanding and implementing organizational policies, procedures, and goals.
- Communicate with a strength-based approach to develop positive relationships with all youth.
- Respect and honor cultural and human diversity, identify potential risk and protective factors for youth, and demonstrate the qualities of a positive role model.
- Develop and implement STEM and other curricula.
- Organize binders for teams.
- Assist with YDP trainings and attend leadership trainings like Spillet, DESE, etc.
Qualification Requirements
- 1-3 years’ experience in youth guidance and development programs preferred.
- CPR and first aid certified or willing to become certified.
- Necessary management skills to supervise Club staff and volunteers.
- Proven ability to manage Club staff and volunteers.
- Knowledge of (and access to) community organizations and assistance agencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability and desire to work with youth in various environments.
- The ability to work independently and efficiently without direct supervision.
- Pass background screening and drug test.
