Principal Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Program Practice & Innovation in coordinating trainings, learning initiatives, administrative operations, and special projects across VOA-GNY programs.
- Cook up logistics for trainings, workshops, retreats, meetings, and organizational learning activities including scheduling, communication, attendance tracking, material preparation, and follow-up activities.
- Aid in the development, organization, and distribution of training materials, presentations, facilitation guides, educational resources, surveys, reports, and other Program Services materials.
- Support innovation and program development efforts through research, brainstorming, pilot initiatives, and implementation support while collaborating with program teams and leadership on training and program improvement efforts.
- Provide administrative and operational support including scheduling, meeting coordination, invoice and expense tracking, purchase requests, payment reconciliation, credit card reporting, and coordination with Finance and other internal departments.
- Maintain organized project documentation, timelines, tracking systems, training records, and resource libraries to support effective implementation and follow-through.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, organizational development, social work, human services, humanities, communications, or a related field.
- Two years of experience supporting trainings, project coordination, workforce development initiatives, program operations, or organizational initiatives.
- Experience working in homeless services, social services, behavioral health, or a related nonprofit setting is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in written and verbal communication and interpersonal relationship-building.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects simultaneously.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Canva, PowerPoint, virtual meeting platforms, and training or learning management platforms.
