About the role

Join Sevita as a Program Director and lead a team dedicated to helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) live independently and thrive in their communities. At Sevita, you'll do more than manage programs—you'll mentor staff, support individuals in achieving their goals, and make a meaningful impact every day.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of up to four community-based IDD programs
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other team members
  • Provide coaching, performance management, and ongoing staff support
  • Manage program budgets and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies
  • Build strong relationships with individuals served, family members, guardians, and community partners
  • Monitor program quality, outcomes, and service delivery standards
  • Address staffing, scheduling, and operational challenges as they arise
  • Foster a positive, person-centered culture focused on dignity, respect, and independence

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation with proof of insurance
  • Ability to obtain required state certifications upon hire
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (preferred)
  • 2–3 years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (preferred)
  • Supervisory, management, or team leadership experience (preferred)
  • Experience in residential services, supported living, community-based services, or disability services (preferred)
