About the role

The Program Coordinator/Scheduler at Harborview - Pioneer Square Neighborhood Clinic is responsible for managing patient referrals, scheduling appointments, and providing support to both patients and providers.

Responsibilities

• Review and prioritize incoming referrals from multiple sources
• Triage incoming referrals to ensure appropriate specialist review
• Handle intake of each referral request, ensuring complete information is entered into the EMR system
• Schedule initial patient appointments in-person or via Telemedicine based on provider and patient preference
• Coordinate appointments for the patient at the appropriate facility and assist with urgent insurance authorization or financial assistance
• Manage and resolve high volume of phone inquiries and messages
• Review appointment follow-up requirements and expectations with patients
• Educate patients to ensure adequate understanding of the purpose of each appointment and follow-up recommendations
• Offer financial assistance to self-pay and underinsured patients, guiding them through the application process
• Serve as a primary program contact to other departments, patients, and providers outside facilities

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent
• Two years of experience in the program specialty or equivalent combination of education and experience

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the clinic’s services and specialties
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a high volume of tasks and prioritize effectively
• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong customer service orientation

Pay

Pay Range: Minimum $23.41/hour, Maximum $33.47/hour
