Position Summary
The Patient Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for scheduling surgical or diagnostic procedures and may also schedule pre-anesthesia, oncology/infusion, or other appointments. Responsibilities may include a variety of clerical duties such as input of daily charges, patient forms, and statistics necessary for reporting.
Responsibilities
- Input of daily charges, patient forms, and statistics necessary for reporting
- Aid in meeting patient care needs by assisting the care team
- Act as a liaison between physicians' offices, ancillary departments, and the surgical or primary department staff
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of clerical experience in a fast-paced, medical or professional environment, providing knowledge of computer programs, and excellent communication skills is required
- A High School Diploma, GED, or the equivalent in experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as required for the position is required
- An Associate degree in business administration is preferred
- Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred
