About the role

The Program Coordinator is responsible for working collaboratively with the Department to provide program coordination for the patient's and families as it relates to the department programs and services. Provides high level of customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program coordination for patients and families in relation to department programs and services

Qualifications

  • Minimum one (1) year experience in a healthcare setting
  • Bachelor's degree in human services, business, or related field
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Knowledge and ability to provide appropriate patient care depending on age, cultural, and spiritual needs

Preferred qualifications

  • Three (3) years of healthcare experience
  • Graduate of an accredited vocational school having successfully completed requirements for MA
  • Medical Assistant certification
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Pay

Minimum $26.73 | Midpoint $35.41 | Maximum $44.10 per hour. Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Work environment

  • Medium - High energy level
  • Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
  • Push/pull +/- 150-200 lbs (patients on bed, stretcher)
  • Lateral transfer 150-200 lbs (patients)
  • Physical activities: Bending, carrying objects, climbing, keyboard use/repetitive motion, pinching/fine motor activities, push/pull, reaching forward and overhead, sitting, squatting/kneeling/crawling, standing, talking/hearing, tasting/smelling, twisting, walking, wrist position deviation
  • Lifting (floor to waist level) - Occasional 0-35%
  • Lifting (waist level and above) - Occasional 0-35%
  • Sensory requirements: Color discrimination, depth perception, far vision, hearing, near vision
  • Environment exposures: Airborne communicable disease, bloodborne pathogens, chemical, dust particulate matter, extreme noise levels, extreme temperatures, radiation, uneven surfaces or elevations
